Boombox Museum ("we," "us") operates boomboxmuseum.com and the official Boombox Museum accounts on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X. This policy describes what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

Website visitors: we collect no personal information from simply visiting this site. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) may be retained briefly by our hosting providers for security and operations.
Correspondence and submissions: if you email us or submit material (for example, photos of your boombox for inclusion in the museum), we receive the information you choose to send, including your email address and the submitted content.

Social media publishing tools

We operate first-party software that publishes our own content to our own social media accounts via official platform APIs (TikTok Content Posting API, Instagram Platform API, YouTube Data API). These tools access only the Boombox Museum accounts that we own and operate. They do not access, collect, or store data about any other user of those platforms. Authentication credentials for our accounts are stored securely and never shared.

To respond to inquiries and process collection submissions.
To credit contributors when they request it.
To operate, maintain, and improve the museum.

What we don't do

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
We do not run third-party advertising or ad trackers.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

This site currently uses no cookies. If future features require them (such as user accounts or saved preferences), this policy will be updated first.

Data retention and your rights

We keep correspondence and submissions only as long as needed for the purposes above. You may request a copy or deletion of the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing us, and we will honor reasonable requests promptly.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on infrastructure provided by Vercel, Supabase, and Cloudflare, which may process technical request data as our service providers. Links to social platforms are governed by those platforms' own privacy policies.
